ClothOff is a notorious deepnude-style app and Telegram bot that exploded in popularity in 2024. It uses advanced generative AI to strip clothes from any photo (typically of women and girls) and produce highly realistic fake nudes in seconds.
The service is deliberately simple: upload a picture, spend a few free daily coin or buy more, and get the result almost instantly. Aggressive advertising on TikTok, Instagram, and X, often disguised as “magic tricks” or “AI filters,” helped it reach tens of millions of downloads and uses.
Critics and victims’ advocates label it a tool for mass-scale sexual harassment and revenge porn, stalking, and bullying, with countless reports of non-consensual images being created and shared. Several governments have already blocked the site, payment processors have cut ties, and law enforcement in multiple countries is investigating.
Despite the bans and public outrage, ClothOff and dozens of almost identical clones keep resurfacing under new domains and bot accounts, showing how difficult it is to stop this type of abusive AI once it’s released.
